TPM - TYPES OF MAINTENANCE


WHAT IS MAINTENANCE ??


A process to keep an Equipments always in accurate working conditions.

Take actions to sustain the Equipments Condition & performance same like as a new.








PLANNED MAINTENANCE {PM} - A pre-planned maintenance activity comes under Planned Maintenance.

PM have two types of Maintenance.

a} Corrective Maintenance
b} Preventive Maintenance

CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE -  A maintenance tasks that are performed to restore the Machine to its basic working condition.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE - A regular & routine maintenance in order to prevent any sudden breakdown & keep the Machine in its proper running condition.

There is two types of Preventive Maintenance -

a} Periodic Maintenance - Frequency based maintenance.

b} Predictive Maintenance - Prediction / Assumption based maintenance to prevent any breakdown which may be occurred.


UNPLANNED MAINTENANCE - A maintenance activity to resolve any breakdown. Breakdown maintenance comes under the unplanned maintenance.

Breakdown Maintenance - A maintenance which is performed after the Machine breakdown.
