TAKT TIME vs CYCLE TIME 



BASIC DIFFERENCE

TAKT TIME - The term TAKT comes from the German word Taktzeit. which means a clock cycle, beat or a pulse & the principal is that all activity should be integrated with each other according to customer need to sustain the FLOW.


Time given by customer to deliver a product as per their demand.   OR   Pace of sales.


TAKT TIME define What need to do in order to meet customer demand. OR   At which rate we have to deliver.


CYCLE TIME - The Time required by a process to complete the task is called the Cycle Time of that process. 

OR

The time consuming by a process to manufacture a product. 


CYCLE TIME define what we can do as with our capacity. OR At which rate we can produce.
